The 2nd day of the third test between Pakistan and New Zealand was suspended because of the shocking death of Phillip Hughes, the Australian batsman who got injured during a domestic match four days back.
As per reports, the match will be resumed on Friday, and it will be considered as the second day’s play.
Both the Pakistan Cricket Board and New Zealand Cricket have discussed on this issue, and they have agreed to extend the match by one day.
Pakistan is currently leading the three match series 1-0, and they will be aiming for a triumph by winning the last test as well. On the other hand, New Zealand badly needs a victory to draw the series.
The match will be live telecasted in Pakistan by Ten Sports and PTV Sports. Sky Sports telecasts the match in New Zealand. The 2nd day will be live streamed in the official website of Ten Sports and PTV Sports for the Global viewers.
Official website www.live.tensports.com.
PTV Sports will also stream the match at its website PTVsports.com.
At the end of the first day, Pakistan was 281-3 with Mohammed Hafeez batting at 178, and skipper Misbah not out on 38. The hosts will be looking forward to build a big score by the end of the second day, and this will help them to put Kiwis on pressure.
New Zealand bowlers should pick some early wickets to restrict the flow of Pakistani scorecard. The return of Daniel Vettori has strengthened their bowling attack, and if the veteran bowler succeeds in finding some rhythm, then it will not be an easy task for the Pak batsmen to settle down.
Mark Craig is also in good form, and he will be a good bowling partner for the former New Zealand Captain.
