Mr. Williams was one of the most bankable stars of Hollywood, known for his energy. On Monday, a representative of the actor said that he has been under severe depression. His personal struggle with drug and alcohol addiction has also been reported.
He started his work in stand-up comedy and then moved on in television with “Mork & Mindy”. His roles in movies like “Awakenings” and “Insomnia”, garnered him much praise.
He has been nominated four times for the Oscars, but won the award for the best supporting actor for his role in “Good Will Hunting” in 1997.
In the last past decade, Williams had slowed down to some extent. He will be seen playing the role of Teddy Roosevelt in “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” to be released in December, 2015.
His wife, Ms. Schneider, said, “As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”
Rest in Peace Mr Williams. You have given some fond memories.
