She will keep the Jenner name out of respect for her two daughters
Kris Jenner recently admitted she won’t change her surname back to Kardashian despite being separated from her ex-husband, Bruce.
The 60-year-old TV personality has made the decision out of respect for her two daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
While speaking on the KIIS 1065 Sydney radio show, Jenner revealed to hosts Kylie and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson: “It happens to be two younger girls who have an amazing dad and I think I’m going to stay right where I am. It sounded good for a minute, but I went, ‘You just have to respect the relationship of the entire family.'”
Jenner essentially explained that she is too busy these days to worry about her last name.
This decision comes after having admitted a desire to being called Kris Kardashian once again, as she is the former wife of the late Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003. This revelation was made in a scene on the popular show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. However, it is now clear that she has changed her mind.
Kris’ daughter Khloe wasn’t shy about her distaste for said opinion, prompting Kris to reply: “I was that before you were that. I was the original Kardashian.”
Khloe then replied by adding: “I don’t care if you were that, that’s bizarre. Why don’t you go back to your maiden name? Don’t you think that’s insulting to your two daughters [Kylie and Kendall Jenner]?”
Kris Jenner divorced her late husband in 1991 and married the US Olympian athlete that same year, effectively adapting his name.
