Hudson: “I couldn't be more excited to embark on this new chapter”
Oscar-award winner and singer Jennifer Hudson revealed she will release her next album under Epic Records, with head L.A. Reid keeping a watchful eye over it.
Epic Records already includes some of the top names in the music industry, including Jennifer Lopez, Meghan Trainor, Fifth Harmony and Mariah Carey. Hudson is excited about the new working relationship with the label.
She shared via Instagram: “I have no doubt in my mind, this is going to be EPIC! #epicrecords”
In addition, Reid plans on teaming up with the legendary Clive Davis for a potential collaboration, and Hudson can’t wait to see what the dynamic duo can do together with her forth album.
“I couldn’t be more excited to embark on this new chapter with two of the most prolific musical legends of this generation. There is no doubt that this is just the beginning of a very special collaboration and I know that the result will be something unforgettable. I am looking forward to the creative process and sharing new music very soon,” she added.
L.A. Reid had recently commented about said collaboration, adding: “She is the defining voice of this generation. Her award-winning presence on records, in film, and on stage establishes her as one of the premiere artists to emerge in this century. I’m enjoying collaborating with my friend and mentor Clive Davis on Jennifer’s Epic album and excited for her fans to hear what we’re up to.”
Hudson’s last studio album, JHUD, was released in 2014.
