The actress is reportedly in talks to land a hosting gig
In the spotlight from a young age, Drew Barrymore is reportedly in negotiations to have her own talk show in the near future. The deal would be with Warner Bros. and A Very Good Production Company, which was started by Ellen DeGeneres.
Barrymore already has extensive experience in the television industry, serving as executive producer for Esquire’s Knife Fight as well as VH1’s Tough Love. However, sources say nothing is set just yet.
Meanwhile, after her recent split from husband Will Kopelman, Barrymore talked about “doing her best” with her two children.
“I’m doing my best. I’m going back to work for the first time in a while to do this Netflix show. I’m not supposed to give away details about the roll, but I’m excited. It’s going to be fun. And then we’re just doing a lot with Flower beauty, doing more international, we’re in two or three new territories and growing. And our Rosé comes out this spring, and we’re selling out. It’s gone. I’m so excited about that. Next year is going to be really exciting.”
At 41 years old, Barrymore also shared that she feels positive about what the future holds. Concerning everything that makes her happy, she said, “Just strength. Now that I’m a mom, and I know that it harkens back to the girls, aside from that, it really is girl power, badass. It is strength, clarity, conviction, health and focus. It’s funny, because there are times in my life that I am so loosey-goosey, so hedonistic, and it is so just ‘hippy-dippy,’ but right now I feel this great backbone is, ‘One foot in front of the other,’ which is sort of my attitude right now.”
