The singer denies reports alleging she tried to jump off a bridge
Simply put, Sinead O’Connor calls claims of a suicide attempt that emerged on Thursday complete “bulls__it.”
She denied such rumors on a Facebook post hours after relatives said she threatened with jumping off a bridge. However, the reasons for these allegations are not yet clear.
A message was broadcast across a Chicago police scanner stating, “The word from the Ireland police sergeant Claire Mulligan, Dublin, Ireland, is saying that at 1530 hours Sinead O’Connor called and said, ‘I’m on a bridge in Chicago and I’m going to jump.’” Patrol officers were told to be on the look out for the 49-year-old singer.
O’Connor had also been reported missing in May after going for a bike ride in Wilmette, just outside of Chicago. She was later found with no injuries and authorities and appeared to be in good health.
Meanwhile, the singer had recently posted a message directed at her oldest son, Jake Reynolds. Her other son, 12-year-old Shane, was placed with a child services agency in Ireland due to her unpredictable conditions and behavior.
“Jake, kindly go to the court on Tuesday and take custody your brother from Tusla. My lawyer will be making the illegal way yourself and Donal got him into Tusla (lying to the cops etc) known to the judge. Expect to be in trouble. In fact you’d best bring a lawyer of your own. And do not abandon your brother or any other of my babies again. What you have done to your brother and your mother is LITERALLY criminal,” the message stated.
