The actress will be backed by friend iO Tillett and neighbor Raquel Rose.
Update: Heard and Depp have reportedly postponed the Friday restraining order hearing. It is suggested the two might settle the divorce out of court.
Amber Heard is scheduled to testify against husband Johnny Depp this Friday, detailing the ongoing abuse during their marriage.
The 30-year-old actress, along with her friend iO Tillett Wright and her neighbor, Raquel Rose, will stand before a judge at the Los Angeles Supreme Court. They will provide evidence regarding her domestic violence claims as well as the emotional pain she had endured over the years. Both Wright and Rose reportedly witnessed said violence.
A source told The New York Post: “Amber and two of her friends are willing to testify under oath about exactly what happened with Depp. This will put an end to anyone who has doubted her story and his lawyers’ claims that this is about money.”
Tillett, an American photographer, submitted a declaration detailing the abuse he heard on May 21 of this year. In his legal declaration, he wrote, “I heard Johnny launch into a cruel and vicious rage. I then heard Amber crying in fear and begging Johnny to stop his attack … I called 911 to save Amber’s life.” Depp’s lawyer denies the accusations of an abusive relationship.
Heard was requested to attend the hearing by her team of legal representatives. The 53-year-old actor’s lawyer suggested he not attend the hearing to protect him from incriminating himself and further allegations later in the divorce proceedings. In the meantime, Depp is reportedly vacationing in the Bahamas.
The actress has recently requested spousal support in upwards of $1 million per month, but later withdrew the request because she feels Depp’s lawyers might use this against her.
