The artist also plans to launch his own shoe line.
Talk Dirty singer Jason Derulo calls himself a sneaker-head. The 26-year-old will launch his own shoe line soon with LVL XIII and collaborate with designer Antonio Brown.
“I’ve always been a sneaker-head,” and he has, “like, a thousand [pairs], maybe? I don’t wear shoes that many times. And I just love all kinds of shoes,” he revealed to People.
The artist does not wear too many of his monstrous shoe and sneaker collection twice. Upon launching the business, he’s going to give his collection of shoes and sneakers away.
“I’m gonna be wearing LVL XIII, like, up the wazoo, so all the other brands that I have, I’m not gonna be wearing them anymore, so I’m gonna give them all away,” he told People. A long-held ambition has been realized for him.
“I always really wanted to have my own line, be able to utilize all the ideas and knowledge that I’ve garnered over the years. This was a perfect opportunity because I was a fan of what Antonio has done in the past. Now we get to take both of our heads and put ’em together and create something I believe will change the face of footwear forever.”
Meanwhile, Derulo also revealed he wrote a song regarding his break up with Daphne Joy. “There’s one that I did that talks about it pretty spot-on. I actually sent it to her, too. A lot of times, she’s like, ‘You don’t speak to me. You’re not talking to me. I don’t get it.’ So I wrote it in a song, and she was like, ‘It’s clearer now.’ It’s crazy how that is. Sometimes we’re better at certain things. Where somebody may be a better talker than me, through a song, I’m able to explain anything.”
