The latest development details the separation of Cynthia Bailey and her husband of six years, Peter Thomas. The relationship was surrounded by turmoil from the start, according to many. Even minutes before Cynthia’s wedding, her mother and sister tried to stall the ceremony by pretending to forget Bailey and Thomas’s marriage license, as the two thought Thomas wasn’t a good choice for the bride.
After problems in the marriage and Thomas moving to Charlotte to advance his career, Bailey said they were separated and reflecting on their relationship.
The Atlanta spin-off alone has seen NeNe Leakes divorce and remarry her husband, Greg Leakes. Audiences also witnessed Phaedra Parks separate from husband Apollo Nida after a series of arrests and ongoing problems with the law.
E! calculated the divorce rate that has taken place between the long-running franchise, which came up to 33.9 percent. Bethany Frankel returned to The Real Housewives of New York after her and her husband Jason Poppy divorced following a short-lived marriage, two spin-off series and a talk show that was later cancelled. Among all the chaos in Teresa and Joe Giudice’s life in and out of prison, however, the two seem to hold strong.
The original series, The Real Housewives of Orange County, pushed through 10 seasons and starts its 11th on Jun. 27.
