Trump admitted to being unhappy with Kelly's line of questioning. "I thought it was unfair.”
Megyn Kelly, a political commentator and host of The Kelly Files on Fox News, found her spotlight after an aggressive line of questions for Donald Trump during an early Republican debate.
Trump, the real estate mogul, as well as the executive producer and host of The Apprentice franchise on Nbc, is the presumptive republican candidate for President that no one saw coming. After numerous Tweets about Kelly and a feud between the two for months, Trump finally agreed to sit down for a one-on-one interview with her. Their ongoing feud inevitably became part of said meeting.
In the interview, Trump admitted to have some regrets, but still felt the need to present himself in the manner he did. When they got onto the subject of Kelly’s line of questioning during the debate, Trump stated, “I thought it was unfair.” He also added, “I don’t really blame you because you’re doing your thing, but from my standpoint, I don’t have to like it.” Although the airing was not at the top of the list, they were high for prime time ratings and critics expect this to create buzz for weeks to come.
Although it didn’t grant huge ratings for the network, 4.7 million American viewers tuned in. The ratings were surpassed by NCIS and Michael Weatherly’s last appearance on the show. Meanwhile, Nbc did well in second place, with 8.2 million viewers watching The Voice.
