The 58-year-old actor also shares his thoughts on Donald Trump.
Since 30 Rock went off the air, Alec Baldwin has had more time to enjoy his marriage with Hilaria and their two young children, Carmen and Rafael. In fact, Hilaria is expecting a third child, a son, in September.
In a recent interview with Extra’s Mario Lopez, the actor revealed he’s a changed man thanks to their marriage. He feels lucky to have had such an amazing career, too.
Despite his short vacation, however, Baldwin’s work schedule is about to get busy again. The 58-year-old is currently shooting A Conversation with Elliott Gould for TCM, and will host ABC’s upcoming game show Match Game, an updated version of the hit series that aired from 1962 to 1982.
Along with the actor’s new projects, rumors have surfaced that he’s on a list of celebrities to take the open seat on Live! next to Kelly Ripa. He told Lopez, “Look, to do that show every morning, I don’t know if I have that kind of muscle anymore to be that fizzy at 9 o’clock in the morning.”
Meanwhile, Baldwin also commented about the fact that he hasn’t hosted Saturday Night Live in a while, and although he currently has a busier schedule in Hollywood, he plans on living in New York full-time.
The Rock of Ages actor was also asked bout Trump’s potential to be the next president, to which he replied, “Trump is a symptom of an illness right now… I think the political system in the United States has a 104-degree fever right now, but it will come back, and I do believe that a certain woman will become president of the United States in November.”
