The number is smokers is said to have declined in many countries. However, this is not the case in Africa and at the Mediterranean where the numbers are said to be increasing and which implies that global tobacco-use figures will shoot up.Member states of the World Health Organization (WHO) have a target of reducing the tobacco consumed globally by at least 30% and by 2025.
This however may not be achieved as expected and according to a report by Agence France-Presse because of the endurance of the targeted population which is in both low and middle – income earners. An estimation of current tobacco smokers by the Lancet Medical Journal stands at 1.1 billion in 2025. This is way above the present number of 1billion.
The study according to WHO reflects that at least on every six seconds, a death occurs which is related to tobacco smoking which means at least half of the smokers.
While Ronda Rouseyis considered strong enough to beat Floyd Mayweather, it is still not clear if she will put this thinking to test any time soon as she declares that she is not in any way going to fight a man. As per her interview, she is not into battling à la Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. She feels that the idea of a man hitting a woman would bring in a domestic violence situation. On the other hand, it reflects a bad image of a man beating up a girl on national TV.
Among those people who commemorated the 50thAnnivesary of Bloody Sunday was President Obama. What is to be remembered with this commemoration is that an equl voting rights road was established on that violent day. It is the day that lawmakers were urged to pass the voting rights act by President Lyndon B. Johnson in his famous speech.
The push to advocate for this law by Lyndon had come from Martin Luther King, Jr.
