Microsoft has been making a lot of changes since Satya Nadella took over the role of CEO back in 2014. The company is slowly getting back its cool factor, which makes devices such as the Surface Pro 3 that more desirable.
However, the main thing hampering fans from throwing down on a Surface Pro 3, is its price. The best model costs around $2,000, and there are not many folks who are willing to purchase a Windows product for that amount.
Fear not though because Amazon has slashed the price of selected Surface Pro 3 models by $100 (now cost $1,825.00 to own). It’s not much, but it is a step in the right direction because these devices are truly too expensive.

The model we’re going to focus on here is the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 (512 GB, Intel Core i7). It’s a beast of a machine and should be seen as the most powerful tablet device available on the market today.
It comes packed with a spectacular 12-Inch HD (2160 x 1440) touchscreen display that is a joy to look at. On the inside, users should expect 8GB worth of RAM, 512GB of SSD space, and a super-fast Intel 4th-generation core i7 processor.
On the matter of the operating system, this bad boy is rocking Windows 8.1 Pro, but we would recommend folks to upgrade to Windows 10 as soon as it comes out commercially.
Now, we all should know that a finger doesn’t always cut it for a touchscreen computer, and that is why Microsoft has added a pen to the package. Drawing and other precision tasks should be a lot easier now when done on a touchscreen. We see many designers using this pen to get work done in Photoshop and other image studios.
Bear in mind that despite the price, the Surface Pro 3 does not come with the keyboard accessory, which is a true shame. Users will have to spend an extra $100 to get the use of the keyboard, or if they want, the option is there to use a regular USB or Bluetooth keyboard. However, these keyboards do not act as a screen protector.
