Tonight is special; excitement and fanfare is seeping in the veins of all and sundry associated with the Grammy awards distribution ceremony. The world shall watch the broadcast of the Grammy Awards Ceremony, which has its own blitz and elegance, and suffices in the talks of all and sundry at the tinsel town of Hollywood.
There are 83 Grammy categories; awards shall be doled to all and sundry nominated for each category in a ceremony much before the national broadcast takes place. The list of the nominees and the predictive list of probable wins of the top Grammy categories are out!
Who’ll Emerge As The Best?
The 2015 Grammy awards may evolve as an event of satisfaction ad disappointment to distinct individuals or groups. The music revelers may see one of their favorites clinch the top spot in a myriad of categories. Sam Smith, Pharrell Willliams and Beyonce have already bagged six top drawn nominations each. However, Sunday shall bear testimony to who would top the chart in the majority of categories and win most trophies.
Beyonce Has An Edge
In the ‘Album of the Year’ category, there are close contesting albums – Beck’s ‘Morning Phase’, Pharrel Williams’ ‘Girl’, Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’, Beyoncé’s ‘Beyoncé’ and Sam Smith’s ‘In the Lonely Hour’. Beyoncé seemingly has an edge as the album attained 1 million plus sales in less than a week’s time!
Sam Smith, 2014’s Darling
In the ‘Record of the Year’ category, ‘Fancy’, ‘Chandelier’, ‘Stay With Me’, ‘All About That Bass’ and ‘Shake It Off’ are five beautiful songs. Though ‘Chandelier’ by Sia has melody with emotional charge seeping, Sam Smith may top the draws with his number ‘Stay With Me’. This song gripped all and sundry with emotional entanglements; people listened to this on repeat, and most ended up crying!
However, in the ‘Song of the Year’ category, Sia should and indeed might win the laurel, since the ‘Chandelier’s’ lyrics and vocals are unparalleled both in difficulty and size. Beating all odds, Sam Smith may edge past Iggy Azalea, Haim, Brandy Clark and Bastille in the ‘Best New Artist’ category, because the former has a sexy voice and has been dubbed as the ‘Darling of 2014’.
Rap And Rock
There can be a tough fight between the rap albums— ‘Nobody’s Smiling’, ‘Oxymoron’ and ‘The New Classic’. In the ‘Best Rock Album’ category, ‘Morning Phase’ should win but it’s likely that the old, white dudes of U2 may edge over with ‘Songs of Innocence’. Tonight’s show is going to be splendid, and may beat people’s estimates and expectations; so, keep fingers crossed!
