Pakistan’s Australian tour initially started in a bitter manner. The visitors lost the One Day and T 20 Series, but they came back powerfully in the Test series.
Pakistan white washed Australia in the tests, and this phoenix bird rising has literally enhanced the morale of the whole Pakistani team.
The selectors haven’t made any changes in the 16 member team, and they have retained everyone for the series against New Zealand.
On the other hand, New Zealand cricket team is not going through the easiest path, as they tasted defeats in the three match one day series which was played against South Africa.
Their performance against West Indies in the penultimate series was also not up to the mark, and this has created a small wave of tension in the Kiwi camp.
Pakistan has a cutting edge in this series, and if they succeed in maintaining the same form they showed in Australian tour, then it will be quite difficult for McCullum and team to find the comfort shore.
The squads are as below:
Pakistan: Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Asad Shafiq, Sarfraz Ahmed , Yasir Shah, Zulfiqar Babar, Rahat Ali and Imran Khan.
New Zealand: Tom Latham, Hamish Rutherford, Kane Williamson, Brendon McCullum, Corey Anderson, James Neesham, BJ Watling, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Mark Craig and Trent Boult.
