For the 1st semifinal of CLT20 2014, Hobart Hurricanes will challenge the IPL 2014 champions Kolkata Knight Riders on October 2, 2014 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.
The match will start at 4 p.m. India time.
KKR hasn’t quite played their best game so far, but some of their new performers made sure the team reached the semis. Skipper Gautam Gambhir and his squad will be looking to win this one and make it to the finals to what can be called a perfect year for them.
On the other side, Hobart Hurricanes started off with a loss against Kings XI Punjab, but all of their three next games have been phenomenal and they look ahead to better results this time.

Much of the KKR game has been leaning on Robin Uthappa, who is expected to pull of this semi with ease. While the numbers have been on his side, he has ensured time and again that he can get those runs when need. Then there is Manish Pandey and skipper Gambhir, who can be destructive as needed.
Despite the hoopla and recent streak of bad news, Sunil Narine will be leading the pack.

For the Hobart Hurricanes, the bowling is bigger and better with names like Doug Bollinger, Ben Hilfenhaus, and Xavier Doherty, who are capable of taking the wickets.
Of course, they are no way below with the bat as Aiden Blizzard along with Ben Dunk can cause damage. Also there is skipper Tim Paine who is quite in form.
This semifinal certainly promises a lot.
