The 2014 Asian Games that sparked off with a glittering opening ceremony on September 19, 2014 starts its hunt for winners today at Incheon, South Korea.
A total of 439 events are scheduled for the Games this year, featuring 36 sports and disciplines.

The opening ceremony of the Games at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium saw a host of performances including that of South Korean entertainer Psy, who remain an attraction.

India has a number of games scheduled for day one including Badminton, Equestrian, Shooting, Rowing, Judo, Wushu, Squash, Tennis, Handball and Volleyball on September 20, 2014.
Early in the day, Jitu Rai won the Gold Medal in the final of the 50m Pistol event.
The first medal for India came from Indian shooter Shweta Chaudhry, who won a bronze in the 10m Air Pistol event.
