Apple’s latest iPhone devices – the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus – had a grand launch last week at Cupertino. The event no doubt ignited the dreams of millions out there who had been waiting to grab the smart devices as soon as they arrived on the sales horizon.
Folks at the Cupertino based company have revealed that around 4 million pre-orders have been received for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on Day One.
The number, in fact, cruised past the previous sales records that Apple has recorded.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were up for advance online sales on Friday. The figures are indeed mammoth compared to the sales figures of their earlier iPhone model. iPhone 5 on its arrival got around 2 million preorders, and with the latest models, Apple has managed to double the sales.
The huge pre-orders mean that there would be a slightly prolonged wait before actual shipping is kick started. Though some of the lucky customers would get the iPhone 6 by this Friday, the remaining mass would have to wait until October.
The iPhone 6 featuring a 4.7 inch display carries on contract prices starting at $199 and the iPhone 6 Plus, with the larger 5.5 inch starts at $299.
The two newcomers from Apple got featured along with the much awaited Apple smartwatch, the first from Cupertino. Apple has also revealed the contract free charges for the iPhone devices ahead of being put up for the pre-orders.
