Troubles for Bollywood megastar Salman Khan doesn’t seem to seize as the actor has been booked for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Muslim community on September 12, 2014.
The complaint was filed by one Mohammad Asim Mohammad Arif, who has said that Being Human, which happens to be Salman Khan’s NGO has recently organized a show in Mumbai where a model walked the ramp in a t-shirt, which had an Arabic word written on it.
The complainant has said that this had hurt the religious sentiments of the minority community.
According to the complaint received against the 48-year-old actor, the police has booked him under IPC Section 295A, which is related to ‘deliberate and malicious acts’ that is intended to ‘rage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs’.
A report in IBN website quoted Dilip Chavan, the current investigating officer, “We are investigating the case. The complainant has provided a video clipping of the fashion show”.
Salman Khan’s Being Human is a not-profit organization that works for a number of causes. Recently, Salman had announced free treatment for 100 patients on Twitter. Many Bollywood celebs have supported shows and products of Being Human as a part of promoting charity.
The new complaint comes in times when Salman’s ‘hit and run’ case is also in news. Salman was allegedly involved in a rash driving case on 28 September 2002.
As for the new complaint filed against him, Salman’s reaction on the Being Human T-shirt is awaited.
