Actor Jamie Dornan admitted to making drastic lifestyle changes to keep up with fatherhood and its ever-increasing demands.
The Fifty Shades star, who has two young daughters with wife Amelia Warner, says that being a father has required some adjustment.
He told Pop Sugar: “It’s been a big adjustment and it’s definitely harder and you get less time to yourself, but human beings are very good at adaptation.
You have to just go with it and accept less sleep and accept less time in your hands and accept less reading of books and washing and all the usual things you do in a day.”
The actor had previously wanted a baby boy, but now says he is very happy with the way things have worked out.
He shared: “I always thought I’d want the boy because … I think as a guy you just think, ‘I’ll have a little mini version of myself’ or something in a sort of [narcissistic] way, but then once you’ve had girls I can’t imagine having [another one].”
Dornan also acknowledges the challenges of raising two young children as opposed to one, adding: “We’ve got two little girls now, so it’s pretty insane … One of my best friends said that one is a pet, two is a zoo.”
The 34-year-old star has also been busy filming Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to the popular Fifty Shades series, which is scheduled for release in 2017. Meanwhile, Fifty Shades Freed is due out in 2018. Dornan had also made several television appearances on shows such as Once Upon a Time and The Fall.
