Rapper Snoop Dogg has teamed up with Martha Stewart for a new series where they will host dinner parties with various celebrities.
The artist and the lifestyle entrepreneur will launch the unscripted show on VH1 under the name Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party. The 75-year-old TV personality believes the series will be a success thanks to people’s obsession with celebrities and great food.
She explained: “At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity. ‘Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party‘ will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way.”
The 44-year-old rap star praised Stewart and says they have always shared a special bond.
He stated: “My homegirl, Martha and I have a special bond that goes back. We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”
While the show does not yet have an air date, VH1 president Chris McCarthy promises it will deliver an unforgettable experience.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg, two of pop culture’s biggest icons. Good parties are filled with fun, food and unexpected guests. Wait til you see what happens at ‘Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party‘; it will be unforgettable,” he shared.
This is not the first time Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart have worked side by side, as they were once on ABC’s $100,000 Pyramid. The artist has also been a guest on her show and they both appeared in the Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber.
