It seems like Brad Pitt is being extremely staunch with the ‘Moneyball’ author, Michael Lewis.
After tasting success back in 2011 with the flick ‘Moneyball’, the movie adaptation of the Lewis’ 2003 book of the same name, the 51-year old-actor/producer has decided to yet again to pair with the author for the movie adaptation of the 2010 best seller, ‘The Big Short’.
And this time, we have a big force joining Plan B, Brad Pitt’s production house. News from tinsel town is that Brad Pitt will be having Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling also in for the upcoming financial drama.
The multi-starrer movie will be written and directed by Adam McKay, the one behind the Anchorman movies. The movie will be produced by Pitt and DeDe Gardner under the banner of Plan B, with Paramount rumored to join hands with the production house for the venture. The latter is yet to comment on the matter though.
Michael Lewis’ non fictional book was released in 2010 and had a vast run in the list of best sellers. The book takes us through many key figures who played the crucial role in the build-up of financial crisis during 2007-2010.
The actors can be seen portraying these characters from the book, and explaining the incidents in the early 2000s that created the credit bubble, leading eventually to the crisis.
There have been no words on when the movie can be expected to hit the screens, and also on when the production works will be commencing.
Pitt’s last movie to hit the screen was the American War film ‘Fur’ and is also now on works for the flick directed by his life partner Angelina Jolie.
Christian Bale has also been kept busy for the coming years with movie of Terrence Malick slated as the one to hit the screens next. It must surely take some time for the fans to see the actors share their screen space.
