‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ Review and Box-office collectons report

Bollywood romantic film “Daawat-e-Ishq” starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra is releasing on September 19, 2014 across cinemas in India and world.

Labeled as a romantic comedy with a twist, “Daawat-e-Ishq” comes from the stable of Yash Raj Films.

The movie tells the story of Parineeti Chopra, who plays Gulrez “Gullu” Qadir, and Aditya Roy Kapur who plays Tariq “Taru” Haidar. Set in Hyderabad, the movie also stars Anupam Kher is a pivotal role.

Directed by National Award winning director Habib Faisal, the hopes with “Daawat-e-Ishq” are high due to the promising star cast and extensive star cast.

The leading stars of the movie recently went on a road trip called the ‘food yatra’ from Mumbai to North.

The story of “Daawat-e-Ishq” has been kept under wraps, but from what the trailer says, it seems the movie is more than being just another rom-com.

The music of the movie has been composed by Sajid-Wajid. Yash Raj Films will be exclusively distributing the film worldwide.

Given the name of Yash Raj, the screen count of “Daawat-e-Ishq” should be on the higher side of 2000. It has to compete with Sonam Kapoor starrer “Khoobsurat” on the same day, which may dent the collections of both films as the target audience is youth.

In terms of star power, “Daawat-e-Ishq” may just have the edge and is expected to do well in single screens.

The 1st day collections of “Daawat-e-Ishq” should be more than Rs. 6 Crore, depending on occupancy in the morning shows.
