Times of India, one of the leading Indian dailies, has found themselves in a soup, after a recent post on Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s cleavage!
The Times of India Entertainment Twitter post (https://twitter.com/TOIEntertain) provoked widespread reaction and many were as harsh as expected.
And, TOI went a step further in attracting more ridicule after they took a stance not to apologise too.

It all began after TOI posted a headline that held forth the awesomeness of Finding Fanny actress’ cleavage.
Absolutely in bad taste, the post triggered ridicule and many went ahead lambasting such an irresponsible post from one of the most respected dailies.
The matter came under the limelight when Deepika (https://twitter.com/deepikapadukone) herself tweeted the image of the entertainment post alongside scribbling “Supposedly India’s ‘LEADING’ newspaper and this is ‘NEWS’!!??”
She further went on to tweet “YES!I am a Woman.I have breasts AND a cleavage! You got a problem!!??”
The B-town actress also slammed the leading media house by tweeting “Don’t talk about Woman’s Empowerment when YOU don’t know how to RESPECT Women!”
Times of India tweeted their response explaining that what they had intended was a ‘compliment’, which only invited wider resentment.
That in fact added fuel to fire, and the film world was up in arms on social media against the irresponsible statement.
“It’s a compliment! You look so great that we want to make sure everyone knew! :)” tweeted TOI entertainment desk.
Outraged celebrities and common readers began to fill Twitter supporting the actress.
Celebrities slammed TOI and also made sure that they applaud the actress for sending out the right message.

How much rights does an actress have when it comes to controlling her public image in the age of social media and the internet? After all it’s one thing to flaunt it and propel one’s career forward with their sexuality but is it hypocrisy to cry foul when someone else points it out as well ….?

Correct. Next thing you know; they’ll have vagina monologues and whore walks. Then free birth control… and great pride in single women not having men and having children. All while bleeding the taxpayers to support it all. Which is hardly equality. Take the U.S. for example… whom is always preaching women power. Then why do they split everything 60/40 in favor of the woman. Many women get married and have children… and months later get the payday of their lives. I’m talking actual work for profit. Miley Cyrus is a good example of U.S. girls. in this day and age though; the media seems to make her out to be a lone wolf; when in fact she is not. The number of female psychopaths in the U.S. far exceeds males these days. Crime is up as well; but they generally let them go. The family has been destroyed but who cares. Now they are working to close down parts of the internet to protect girls. Which is usually the way they clamp down on freedoms and tax the public; in the name of women and children. In the case of child support; why not just give the children to the men if they are not monsters and can affords them. Why make two poorer families. Because they are evil. Womens rights are evil for the msot part. They rail against ideologies when decent or good; but allow others to pervert society in the name of liberation.
