Umpteen numbers of young people all over the nation have attended the Combined Defense Service Examination (I) conducted on February 2014.
And now, after eight months of curiosity and anxiousness, The Union Public Service Commission has declared the results of this examination.
The final list of candidates has been published after analyzing the SSB interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board, Ministry of Defence.
238 candidates have been selected after the examination for the final admission, and these people will be enrolled in various Defense Service Institutions like, Indian Military Academy Dehra Dun, Air Force Academy Hyderabad and Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala.

The news of result has set a sigh of relief among the candidates who have written the examination. People who are selected will now enter the most elite brass of Indian Defense, and a bright future will be awaiting for them in the backdrop.
More than 8000 candidates has been shortlisted by UPSC after the examination. The SSB interviews have filtered the list again, and finally 238 candidates came out with flying colors. The SSB interviews were conducted at the Army Head Quarters.
Earlier, Indian Military Academy has reported 250 vacancies whereas Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy have reported 40 and 32 vacancies respectively.
The selected candidates will start their career in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force as officers. After the training period, the candidates will be sent to various military regiments in the country for serving the nation.
