Minneapolis – It was such a celebration for many millions of people across the nation with bites of free icecream cones. This was offered during the 75th anniversary celebrations of Dairy Queen which handed out vanilla cones for free.
The offer which was limited to one cone per person was only meant for one day which presented a tasty way to begin the week for many people. It was available in many locations of Dairy Queen hence no coupons were required.
The chief operating officer for Dairy Queen, Troy Bader indicated that they wouldn’t find a better way of saying thank you after achieving satisfaction into a craving of something cold but sweet. “It is a tradition to go to Dairy Queen for many people, a tradition that has span into generations”. Troy added.
Furthermore the signature curl on top is so nice and has already been trademarked as Troy explained. In addition and in comparison to the traditional ice – cream, there is less butter in the soft serve that has been used to fill the cups and the cones.
After ball games or any typical family outing, people always find their way to Dairy Queen even the dogs after a visit to the vet. Troy says that there is a deep and emotional connection of this brand and many more products attached to it.
The actual birthday of Dairy Queen falls on the June 22. However the Company brought the giving out of the free cones first forward to the 75th day of the year with an explanation that there were many more events lined up for the later months in the year.
In addition to giving free ice – cream, Dairy Queen was also asking for donations which would be taken to a children’s network in support of local hospitals. The network raises money to save and improve the lives of kids that have received treatment from 170 children’s hospitals in the US and the better part of Canada.
