The “Tangled” actress Mandy Moore and the Grammy nominee Ryan Adams have decided to end their six year old marriage in a respectable, amicable manner. Unlike the other impending high-profile divorce (Patrick Dempsey- Jillian Fink) which looks to be heading for an ugly spat, this couple has decided to go their own ways after having led a quiet life together.
“Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years,” reps for the duo said in a joint statement. “It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time,” read a joint statement released by the representatives of the couple.
40 year old Adams and 30 year old Moore who had got married on March 10, 2009, in Savannah, Georgia, do not have any children together.
Mandy has cited irreconcilable differences between the two as the reason of their split. She is seeking for spousal support from the “Gimme Something Good” crooner. The “I Wanna Be with You” singer listed the date of their separation as to be determined.
Ryan, when asked to talk about his marriage with Mandy, by the DJ of an Australian radio show in September 2014 had surprised him by retorting, “I just don’t share at all about my private life,” he had said before hanging up on the DJ.
He later explained via Buzzfeed, “OK, so I just hung up ’cause I was on the radio getting asked about my wife. I was really nice about it the first time, and I’m sorry, but I won’t repeat myself. The deal is this: I’m a private person and I’ll be a gentleman and say I’m not talking about my marriage ever. I’ll never talk about it. Ever.”
More recently, Moore was seen without her wedding band in a selfie she posted on to Instagram last month. The news of the breakup comes shortly after Moore had talked about her being busy with some new piece of music together with Adams.
“Life, life is inspiring what I’m writing about and I don’t know exactly what it’s going to sound like quiet yet,” she told E! News at the Red Band Society premiere in November, “but…I’m going to work with my husband on it and make it at his studio so his influence will be all over it.”
The two who have been very tight-lipped about their relationship throughout will be as restrained and dignified while calling it splits too.
