Micromax has introduced yet another smartphone under the YU branding. YU Yuphoria was today unveiled by the company that will go exclusively on sale at the Amazon India.
The smartphone has been tagged with a price of approximately $100 (6,999 INR) and is available in two variants, Champagne Gold and Buffed Steel.
Yu Yuphoria is the successor of the Yureka smartphone, which was launched a few months ago for a price tag of 8,999 INR. Without a doubt, it gained much of popularity, however, suffered from some of the hardware and software issues.
Yuphoria comes loaded with a 5-inch IPS display sporting a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The powerhouse for this smartphone is a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at a frequency of 1.7 GHz along with a 8 MP rear and 5 MP front camera for capturing great moments.
Earlier, users complained about the sound quality and volume in the Yureka devices, however, with Yuphoria one gets Pure Wolfson Sound, and AAC speakers enhanced with the unidirectional sound projection.
The smartphone also comes loaded with G, L, P and E sensors for an enhanced experience in the apps and games. It was said during the launch that the Euphoria is so capable that it can easily handle any app or game that may be thrown at it.
Apart from that, the smartphone now has a 2230 mAh battery that comes with the Quickcomm quick charge technology. Within 45 minutes, the battery can be charged from 0% to 65%, which is a significant improvement over its predecessor.

Above all, the phone comes loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12 which is highly customizable from every aspect.
Earlier, Yureka had several issues related to the proximity sensor that eventually resulted in device perform abruptly. Before Cyanogen OS 12, the device also had issues related to the software part, however, we believe that the company has worked on them and probably has fixed them in Yuphoria.
