Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan starrer “Happy New Year” which got released to a record number of screens worldwide on Friday, is expected to earn atleast Rs 35 crore on its first day of release!
This might be a all time high first day collection for any Bollywood movie till date.
The movie was released in more than 4800 screens in Hindi language alone.
If the latest reviews and reports are anything to go by, the movie will earn anywhere between Rs 35-40 crores on its 1st day, Friday.
With still a festival weekend coming up, the 2nd and 3rd day collections of the movie i expected to be even better.
Multiplexes from all across the country have been running to packed houses and there are reports of advance bookings are almost full for Saturday and Sunday too.
The rushes in movie theatres in Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad are said to be just uncontrollable.
All shows from early morning have been running housefull in multiplexes. If the same trend continues, there is no doubt that the movie will break all records within the first weekend.
The movie received mixed reviews from movie analysts and critics, Kamal R Khan had predicted that the movie will earn around 35-40 crores on day one and his predictions in all probabilities might come true.
