Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and her Zimbabwean partner Cara Black are all set to play the women’s doubles semifinal against top players and Swiss-Italian team duo Martina Hingis and Flavia Pennetta on September 4, 2014. The match starts off at 11.00 p.m. India time at Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Sania and Cara, who are seeded third, had to defeat Zarina Diyas and Yi-Fan Xu to get into the semifinals, although the rivals retired midway when the quarterfinals are on.

On the other hand, Hingis and Pennetta reached the semifinals by defeating fifth seeds Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik.
The Swiss-Italian team has performed way beyond average and is expected to have some serious challenges ready for the India-Zimbabwe duo. Hingis has 15 Grand Slam titles and nine doubles titles to her credit.
The official broadcasting of the matches in US will be offered by CBS. Ten Sports will be telecasting in the Indian subcontinent, while ESPN International will be telecasting in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America.
Sania Mirza has also entered the mixed doubles final of the ongoing US Open, where she has partnered with Bruno Soares. Sania and her partner fought with Yung Jan Chan and Ross Hutchins to reach the semi finals.
In the other semifinal, Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina will take on Kimiko Date-Krumm and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova for a place in the finals.
