Kings XI Punjab, coming from two wins, will be looking to snatch their third one in a row against Northern Knights at, which is an equally promising side.
The good thing about KXIP is rounded wins from collaborative effort, but batsmen are yet to show their authority like they did in the IPL.
The team has high hopes with Thisara Perera, Parvinder Awana and their current star Mitchell Johnson to keep the Northern Knights lineup in check.
On the other side, The Northern Knights are no less either. The team glided as on ice in the pre-tournament Qualifiers, while they came with a convincing win against the Cape Cobras in a match that was ruined due to rain.
However, the dent came when Hobart Hurricanes crippled the lineup with a defeat of 86 runs, which the team now needs to recover. After the Hobart Hurricanes, Northern Knights has been resting for three days and therefore, they will be fresh as they take on a heavy side.

For KXIP, Glenn Maxwell and David Miller play the roles where they can change the entire game, and much is on Virender Sehwag. Their main concern, despite the names, will be the bowling that hasn’t shown the sting needed.
Anton Devcich and Kane Williamson have contributed for the opponents, and again the duo is expected to set the stage, following which Daniel Flynn and BJ Walting can take charge.
Tim Southee along Trent Boult will have to be the wicket takers to keep the feisty KXIP in check.
