While 29-year-old actress Lindsay Lohan has stayed off the radar, she is recording a new album to follow up on her 2004 and 2005 releases. She recently said, “I have to record another album for Universal/Motown. And I will.”
Although she’ll be back in the recording studio, the actress does not want to overshadow her sister, Ali Lohan, who is also a recording artist.
Talking about it during a Synaptop live chat, Lindsay Lohan added, “With that being said, my sister is signed to EMI. She’s recording a record, and out of respect for her and her true career choice – which is all she wants to do is make music, and her voice is like … Etta James meets Adele – I want to respect her in that lane and stay in my lane working with children and creating films and writing and directing. I will sing in my films, but I want her to sing in them as well. So, as much as I want to sing every day, I don’t want my sister to hate me.”
She continued: “I want her to sing with my friend Parson James at my birthday. I’ll be 30 this year, and I want her to sing at it. I’m scared to ask her. She’s so kind of nervous about it, but she’s really good. She has a Soundcloud song called The Devil Inside. She has a beautiful voice and she’s a beautiful person. She’s a Buddhist and she’s really spiritual and I just really admire her.”
The Mean Girls star recently got engaged to Russian businessman Egor Tarabasov. She also made her red carpet debut with Tarabasov at the Caudwell Children’s Butterfly Ball this week.
