It has recently come to light that Michael Jackson secretly hated Prince due to the singer being “nasty and mean” to him.
Jackson recorded several rants portraying the Purple Rain artist as one of the rudest people he had ever met. The Thriller hit maker also believed Prince would eventually commit suicide due to being troubled.
The Daily Mirror newspaper obtained transcripts of the recording in which the singer – who died in 2009 – adds, “I don’t like to be compared to Prince at all. I have proven myself since I was real little. It’s not fair. He feels like I’m his opponent. I hope he changes because boy, he’s gonna get hurt. He’s the type that might commit suicide or something. He was so rude, one of rudest people I have ever met. Prince is very competitive. He has been very mean and nasty to my family.”
He had also recalled a time when Prince fell off the stage during a tribute to James Brown after leaning against a paper lamppost.
“He made a fool of himself. He was a joke. People were running and screaming. I was so embarrassed. It was all on video,” Jackson expressed about the incident.
The feud was evidently intensive. At one point Prince had reportedly accused Randy Jackson of being a “hardheaded” individual and Jackie of being “negative.” Moreover, he portrayed Jermaine as talented but “lacking self-confidence.” The report also states that Prince called Janet a tomboy while calling sister LaToya “weird.”
However, some say that the King of Pop was guilty of slamming Prince’s family as well.
