 After dating each other for seven months, Cameron Diaz is now reportedly engaged with musician Benji Maden. The Charlies Angels actress started dating Maden on 2014 Many, and the couple has now decided to make the things official.

The 42 year old ravishing actress has earlier dated Justin Timberlake and Alex Rodriguez. As per reports, both Cameron and Benji are quite happy with the way things are turning out, and they expect to take this relationship till the end of their life.

Sources claim that Benji Maden is more traditional than Cameron when it comes to tying the knot. Diaz and Maden know each other for years, and this might have triggered an intimate relationship between them.

Within 7 months of dating, they understood the vitality of making it official, and they have taken the most appropriate step.

Cameron Diaz’s mom is very much happy with this news as she is an ardent fan of this heavily tattooed rocker.

The newly engaged couple were recently spotted in the JFK airport. Cameron Diaz was not at all shy about the ring in her engagement finger.

Robot flies in aeroplane as passenger from LA to Germany

 It was the proudest moment for all the people who work in the robotics arena as ‘Athena’, a humanoid airport boarded a fight for Germany at the Los Angeles International airport on December 15, 2014.

‘Athena’ is created by German roboticists, and it is now the first humanoid robot to have paid for a seat on a passenger plane.

‘Athena’ resembled much like a human in its design. It has a head, hands and legs, and was seen wearing stylish red sneakers during the time of boarding.

The robot is 6 feet 2 inches tall, and it weighs more than 100 pounds.

Sarcos, a Salt Lake City-based company has manufactured ‘Athena’, and it is being programmed from Schaal’s Computational Learning and Motor Control Lab at USC.

‘Athena’ is developed using the funds from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, a research program with a military backdrop.

The robot is being made as a disaster relief equipment and experts will be teaching ‘Athena’ to carry out dangerous operations which cannot be completed by humans.

From Germany, the robot will learn to walk and sit as per the instructions given. In all probabilities, this teaching curve will take more than one year to get completed.

‘Athena’ traveled in Economy class during the journey, but still V I P treatment was given to this special passenger. The robot was accompanied by two researchers Alexander Herzog and Jeannette Bohg of ‘Max-Planck Institute for Intelligence Systems’.

James Bond ‘Spectre’ script leaks online after Sony hack

The script of the new James Bond movie, “Spectre” has leaked online and this news has been confirmed by the producers of the film.

As per the producers ‘Eon Productions’, an early version of the script was among the list of stolen documents in the hacker attack on Sony Pictures.

In a recently issued statement, the producers warned third parties who have received the copy of the script that it is protected by Copyright laws.

They also told that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Danjaq LLC will take all possible actions and legal procedures against the people who are behind the leaking of script.

As per reports, the people who have leaked the early version of script have not only gotten the script of the film, but also a great number of notes and email communications associated with the project.

Many sources claim that the makers of the movie will think about a rewrite in script due to the revelation of major twists and turns in the leaked one.

“Spectre” is the twenty forth James Bond film, and is directed by Sam Mendes. The movie will feature Daniel Craig as James Bond for the fourth time. Christoph Waltz will enact the role of Franz Oberhauser, the dreaded villain.

Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott and Ralph Fienness also plays crucial roles in this film. The movie is expected to release on October 23, 2015.

The impact of script leakage in fluctuating the release date of the film is still unknown.

‘Dislike’ button not in Facebook’s plans, says Mark Zuckerberg

Many would have thought the next change in Facebook would be a Dislike button that would appear alongside posts, so that users would be able to express contempt over stuff they don’t like.

But as of now Mark Zuckerberg really dislikes a Dislike button.

In response to queries raised by the audience during a Q&A session at Cupertino, Mark Zuckerberg took a stance that looked crystal clear when he said the dislike button is not something Facebook wishes to bring in.

Valuing a broader array of sentiments people would desire to express, he said emotions have to be expressed without bringing down the posts.

However, he would look at it and try to figure out how such an option is possible.

While a major share of people would want the Dislike button so as to go ahead and express their contempt over posts they don’t like, some also feel that it wasn’t cool to Like posts that contain stuff related to disasters, demises and the like.

Disliking a posts may be assumed in various ways on various posts, which is obviously why Mark has decided to stay clear of it.

Another pitfall with the Dislike button might come in on the marketing front. Analysts view the risk of advertisers being pulled down with the use of Dislike buttons as a potential possibility.

Zuckerberg’s stance on the topic might have sure made them happy.

Complete list of Golden Globe nominations

On December 11, 2014, the 72nd Golden Globe nominations for 2015 were announced amidst a lot of expectations and speculation. This probably unofficially starts the award season in Hollywood.

The Golden Globe Awards is an event by Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and for the third time, hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will take the stage and entertain the audiences.

There are 25 categories in the entire event, of which 14 are meant for movies, while 11 awards are for television.

In the movies, it was “Birdman” that seemed to be the flavor of the award season with seven different nominations.

The Best Motion Picture in the Drama section has nominations of “The Theory of Everything”, “Foxcatcher”, “Boyhood”, “The Imitation Game”, and “Selma”.

Steve Carell, David Oyelowo and Benedict Cumberbatch have been nominated for best actor category, while “Cake” actress Jennifer Aniston, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon have been nominated for the drama section in Best actress category.

Amy Adams, Emily Blunt, Helen Mirren, Quvenzhané Wallis have been nominated under the Best Actress category in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy.

Julianne Moore has been nominated in both best actress categories.

For the Best TV Series, Drama category, “Downton Abbey”, “The Good Wife”, “The Affair”, “House Of Cards” and “Game of Thrones” have been nominated.

Kelsey Grammer’s daughter Greer Grammer will be the Miss Golden Globe 2015.

The 72nd Golden Globe Awards will be live on NBC on January 11, 2014 at the Grand Ballroom of Beverly Hilton Hotel at 8 p.m.

The award season will be in full swing on January 15, 2015 when the Academy Award nominations will be announced.

Gosf.in: 450 vendors offering discounts and rebates for online shoppers

The Great Online Shopping Festival went live on Wednesday morning and with an increased partnership and expanded sales. Google eyes a three time hike in the average day sales than it was two years back.

Started back in 2012, Google’s GOSF opens up various associations with e-commerce platforms for a pleasant shopping experience for net users, by luring them in with discounts and rebates.

Google has partnered with around 450 vendors this year with expectation for the average sales on a day to be three times as that of what it was in 2012.

GOSL will run for three days on various sites and around 5 million shoppers have already run their eyes through the GOSF deals within hours of its curtain rise, despite a late start by some vendors like Amazon, Myntra, Snapdeal etc.

 

Check out all the offers and discounts here. Back in the previous years, it was only 2 million users who carried out the shopping deals through GOSF, which was however twice that of in 2012.

GOSF began as a single day online shopping fest with around 90 vendors joining hands with Google for the purpose. In the previous years, Google rubbed shoulders with around 250 vendors.

The rise in number in its online vendors and increased traffic in the e-commerce platform would be the key in bringing a greater success this year.

Jabong has claimed that online traffic in their website has risen eight times than in the previous year .

ShopClues, who offers discounts of up to 85%, has also mentioned an increase in the sales by around 250%, that too within 90 minutes of it commencing the GOSF deals.

Efforts are also on to lure the freshers in online shopping and to provide an enthralling first time experience for the same.

Other leading e-commerce vendors tied up with GOSF includes eBay, MobiKwik, Infibeam, Adlabs Entertainment, HomeShop 18 and the like.

Indian IIT-B student bags Rs 2 crore offer from Facebook

Aastha Agarwal (20), a student of IIT-B has bagged a lucrative job offering of Rs 2 crore from social media site Facebook. This is perhaps the highest paid job offer to any undergraduate student in India.

Aastha is a student of fourth year of IIT-B. Her stream is computer science. She completed her internship in the headquarters of Facebook in California in May-June this year. After successful completion of the internship, she was offered pre-placement offering Rs 2 crore.

Miss Agarwal said, “I am very happy and excited with the offer and will join in the Headquarters after completing my 8th semester.”

She is now in Jaipur at her home town with her family to spend the winter vacation. Her family has been celebrating with her in joy after they got this awesome news about their daughter.

“She also said, “I was supposed to develop software. They were satisfied with my work and offered me the job right away. Later, when I consented, they sent me the confirmation letter.”

Aastha confirmed that she will be joining this job on October, 2015 after the completion of her degree from IIT-B.

Aastha holds from a very well established family. Aastha’s father is Ashok Agarwal, who works at Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPNL) in the post of executive engineer. Aastha’s elder sister is a chemical engineer.

In state National Talent Search Examination, Aastha secured seventh position. She also won silver medal in International Junior Science Olympiad.

Previously she was also selected at the Junior Science International Olympiad to represent India in the year 2009.

You should enter your register number and other requested details in this page. After entering the details, click the Submit Button.

The Admit Card for the Examination will now grace the screen. You can download and take a Print Out of this card for future use.

Candidates who are appearing for the examination on December 14th 2014 should carry these admit cards compulsorily to the exam hall.

They should also carry an attested photograph along with an ID proof while going for the examination.

Apple plans big India push; to set up around 500 iOS stores in smaller cities

It’s a big name across the globe, but Apple is yet to make a promising start across the Indian markets. Being the second in global market shares, Apple devices are lagging way behind in Indian markets when weighed against players like Samsung and Micromax.

This seems to have invoked a concern for the Cupertino based company, and Apple has finally decided to push its limits in the Indian market. In a move that could be the first of its major expansion plans in India, Apple is now laying out plans to opening around 500 iOS stores, with an eye to reach out to smaller cities.

The new measures from Apple are now aiming to give out an ample product experience through the new stores with detailed demonstrations.

Though not yet taking a form in an official manner, it is believed that Apple has given the nod for its new plans, which would be taking wings soon.

On the radar are cities like Amritsar, Pathankot, Moga, Coimbatore, Trichy, Nagpur, Nasik and the like. These cities are now being seen as locations for small-scale stores of less than 100 square feet floor spacing.

Redington will be in charge of Apple’s franchise model to be adopted for expansion. Plans are also afoot to get more involved in direct advertising for the Indian markets so that the company can re-write its growth story.

Sales of Apple devices in India have always been around big cities like Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, but the company has never pushed hard to capitalize on the purchasing powers of the smaller city consumers. Things are likely to change now.
