Anthony Bourdain, the celebrity chef, restaurateur and author, took President Obama out for dinner in a small restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam. The dinner took place during the CNN television series Parts Unknown, which covers Bourdain’s travels to areas all over the world to meet the people and dine on the unique, native cuisine of their culture.

While other food and cooking series often showcase the best and most well-known restaurants with a long waiting list and a hefty tab for your meal, Parts Unknown takes a different approach. Instead, it takes you on a humbling journey that showcases outstanding food prepared with more natural resources found in their environment.

The meeting not only covered food, but went over Obama’s trip to Asia as well as his interest in Vietnam’s culture and people. Bourdain escorted the President to the restaurant Bun cha Hu-9ong Lien, where they dined on noodles and Hanoi beer.

He tweeted pictures of the two sitting on plastic stools at small tables that didn’t quite match. The ambience wasn’t top notch compared to the standards of more prestigious restaurants, which is part of what makes the show stand out.

Considering the men’s height, these images also gave the impression that they had dined on child-size chairs to some viewers. Bourdain picked up the tab according to his Twitter feed, which totaled $6 for the President and himself. He also commended Obama’s chop stick skills.

The episode will air on CNN during the show’s newest season this September.

Kelly Osbourne, evidently upset, took her frustrations about her recent family drama to Twitter. The singer blatantly called out celebrity hair stylist Michelle Pugh, who is rumored to have had an affair with Ozzy Osbourne.

After finding Pugh’s phone number, Kelly tweeted it to the public while adding, “Anyone looking for cheap chunky LOW-lights a blow out and a [expletive] call.”

The number was quickly disconnected after Kelly’s tweet, following many unwarranted calls from curious fans. The singer was soon criticized for her actions by Twitter users, prompting her to respond, “Are you in my family? NO YOU ARE NOT YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SHE DID! So keep ur high-mighty opinions to yourself!”

Kelly was apparently very upset and continued tweeting with those who had left her unfavorable comments.

Sharon Osbourne, known for being generally open and honest about her family life, quickly addressed the issue on The Talk on Tuesday: “Kelly has the best sense of humor ever. And you know what? In cases like this, what can you do but laugh? You have to laugh, and she is just so funny,” she told the studio audience.

The host then added: “She loves her mom and loves her dad so much. And listen, I’m always proud of my girl, and what are you going to do? Be angry with her because she loves her mom and dad, and she wants us to be together? She loves us. She can do what she wants. She is an adult.”

Fear the Walking Dead’s mid-season ratings remained fairly steady since its April 2016 premiere, although its popularity has gradually dwindled. While the first season premiered with roughly 10 million viewers, the latest batch brought in an estimated 6.67 million and the numbers only worsened over time.

As the mid-season finale concluded on May 22, many on social media are starting to ponder the show’s longevity and its overall direction.

Fear the Walking Dead left everyone hanging as Maddie and Travis’ extended family split, all while Travis stayed behind with Chris, whom appeared mentally unstable. Maddie’s son, Nick, also stayed to be one with the dead – or the living – depending on his point of view.

The show, sticking to the premise of killing off a regular character at any given time, admittedly could not afford to let fans down. While Maddie locked Griselda in with the supposed relatives, all of which were walkers, Danielle eventually broke free from his captors. Daniel then walked into the ‘relatives’ cage and set the place on fire. Maddie, Alicia, Ofelia, and Victor had left after watching the compound go up in smoke thanks to Daniel, who sacrificed himself in the process.

The show’s first season showed us when the official mayhem of the “zombie virus” started and followed several people as they tried to find a safe haven – only to be met with despair in the process.

Despite its uncertain, long-term future, AMC has renewed the spin-off for a 16-episode third season to air in 2017.

While pregnant with fiancé Rob Kardashian’s first child, Blac Chyna noted how much weight she’s already gained on a Snapchat video earlier this week. The 28-year-old model jumped on a scale as it read 163.2 pounds.

“Let’s see. Uh oh…Mommy gained 20 pounds!” she shouted in the video. She also spoke about her 3-year-old son, King Cairo.

Blac Chyna then posted an ultrasound photo on Instagram on Monday evening to provide fans with further details.

She commented on social media about the medical findings, adding: “For a long time I felt like King was going to be an only child. It is said that King Cairo spends much of his time with her ex-fiancé, Tyga, who recently dated Kylie Jenner. This had caused a temporary feud between Chyna and The Kardashians, as Kylie is Rob’s half sister.

Finding Dory is scheduled to premiere on Jun. 17, and loyal fans are already buzzing about its potential. As a result, Disney and Pixar released a new trailer for the long-awaited sequel to Finding Nemo on Tuesday.

The latest trailer, which premiered on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, allows those anticipating the movie to meet some of the new characters introduced.

The film continues the story of Finding Nemo only six months after the events of the original. Those who saw the movie at a young age may be taking their children to see the sequel, as it has taken the studios 13 years to release the follow-up.

Along with most of the original characters (including Dory, Nemo, Marlin, Crush, and Squirt), newcomers include sea lions, an octopus, a whale shark, and the unique sunfish. Some feathered friends and good humans also play a role in the movie.

The voice cast primarily consists of Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Ty Burrell, and many others. Andrew Stanton, who served as the original film’s director, will also make a return as a writer this time around.

Finding Dory does not only explore some real-life issues, it allows children and adults to learn about the wonders of the sea in a fun, educational way. The original film was noted for teaching some viewers about the vastness the sea has to offer, along with its diverse range of life forms.

The 2003 original has made almost $1 billion in revenue worldwide.

The NFL has announced where the Super Bowl will take place through 2021, awarding Atlanta (2019) followed by Miami (2020) and concluding with Los Angeles. The announcement was made at an NFL owners meeting.

This will mark Atlanta’s third Super Bowl, but only the first at a new stadium that is set to open in 2017. Meanwhile, Miami will be hosting the popular sporting event for the 11th time after a $450 million stadium renovation.

Los Angeles will host in the area for the first time since 1993 (previously taking place in Pasadena). This time the game will be held at a new, $2.6 billion stadium that opens in 2019.

The NFL appears to favor cities that have recently renovated their facilities or constructed new ones. 2015’s Super Bowl was hosted in Santa Clara, Calif. following a new stadium by the 49ers. Similarly, Minneapolis will have the privilege of hosting the game in 2018 in a newly-built stadium that opens later this year.

Other established cities and states received Super Bowl bids in the past following expensive investments in new stadiums. These include New York, Indianapolis, Dallas, and Detroit.

“We feel like downtown Atlanta is very unique and the stadium is unique,” Falcons owner Arthur Blank stated, whom had previously said he was “screaming joy for the city of Atlanta and our fans” upon hearing the news.

Miami’s admirable past with the NFL is due to its pleasant weather, the ability to host large events, and the convenience of having two major airports.

“The facts are indisputable,” Hall of Fame running back Larry Csonka added. “We have had 10 Super Bowls and they have been successful.”

Epix has placed an order to bring the 1990 Elmore Leonard novel and 1995 movie adaptation to the network. Get Shorty joins a list of past and current projects making the transition to the small screen.

The story revolves around Miles Daly, a no-nonsense guard working for an established crime ring based in Nevada. After realizing the profession’s dangerous nature thanks to his daughter, Miles pursues a new career as a movie producer – albeit still breaking the law through money laundering. The troubled father ultimately remains attached to his criminal tendencies while working in Los Angeles.

Davey Holmes is overseeing the project and will also serve as executive producer. Meanwhile, MGM (originally in charge of the film) will also produce the series through MGM Television.

“We’re excited to be working with MGM on Get Shorty,” Epix CEO Mark S. Greenberg said in a statement. “I had the pleasure of working with Elmore Leonard early in my career and I am a big fan of his writing. Davey Holmes is a tremendous talent and has created a fantastic new series that is in the spirit of Leonard’s unique brand of social satire and strong narrative voice. Get Shorty promises to be yet another example of the type of high-end, premium TV that EPIX is committed to delivering to its subscribers.”

MGM Television’s Mark Burnett added: “Davey has created a modern-day re-envisioning of Elmore Leonard’s timeless cult classic where organized crime and Hollywood collide in very funny ways. We are thrilled to bring these irreverent characters to fans and audiences around the globe with our fantastic partners at EPIX.”

Get Shorty is one of several original series being produced for Epix, others including political drama Graves as well as Berlin Station. Production will start this fall with a tentative summer 2017 debut.

STX Entertainment recently confirmed it is working with Adam Sandler and his Happy Madison production company to helm a new animated film.

Sandler will serve as writer, producer, and star in the untitled project. This move comes thanks to STX Entertainment’s effort to produce more family-friendly content. The media company strives to release 12 to 15 projects each year and is currently working on a movie based on the Uglydoll toy.

Adam Sandler’s ambition for animated productions has helped strengthen his acting and producing portfolio over the years. His Hotel Transylvania films, for example, have raked in over $800 million in global box office ticket sales.

Likewise, STX also carries robust resume when it comes to animated projects. Adam Fogelson, chairman of the STX Entertainment Motion Picture Group, had previously worked with Illumination Entertainment on Despicable Me as well as Minions. Chief creative officer Oren Aviv had previously overseen these productions at Walt Disney Studios and was in charge of their primary marketing campaigns. He had also worked on the likes of Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.

“As we continue to grow our company, the family arena is of critical importance to STX Entertainment and we are tremendously excited to have Adam Sandler and Happy Madison developing projects with us for the global animation market,” Fogelson said in a statement.

Sandler is also working on projects such as The Do-Over, a comedy film to air exclusively on Netflix. His most recent work included 2015’s The Ridiculous 6, a western comedy that was also released on the streaming giant.

Universal Television has signed Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller, along with producing partner Flody Suarez, to helm a series of new projects for the studio.

The deal further strengthens the producers’ relationship with Universal Television boss Bob Greenblatt, who is also an investor in Hamilton. The musical has proven popular as it has consistently sold out months in advance and it is nominated for numerous Tony awards.

“I’m so pleased to have Universal Television in business with one of the theater’s leading producers, Jeffrey Seller, and his producing partner, Flody Suarez,” Greenblatt declared in a statement. “Jeffrey’s spectacular track record on Broadway and his knack for finding and nurturing brilliant new talent, such as the creative forces behind Rent, Avenue Q, In the Heights and Hamilton, is nothing short of remarkable. There is more and more cross-pollination these days from theater to television, especially at NBC, and we’re excited to see where he and Flody’s instincts and talent relationships will go in the world of television.”

The deal also gives Suarez the opportunity to work with NBC Entertainment once again, having previously contributed on ER and Just Shoot Me as vice president of development. He had also worked as a consultant on The Blacklist and is currently performing the same job on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

“I’ve been obsessed with storytelling since the fourth grade,” added Seller. “Having now spent over 30 years telling stories on stage, I’m excited by the opportunity Bob has given me (and Flody) to stretch my muscles and apply my craft to television. I couldn’t be happier to be with NBC Universal.”

Suarez further added, “I started my TV career at NBC and am thrilled to be back working with old friends at my first home.”

The Discovery Channel is working with six prominent recording talents to talk about the wonders of the animal kingdom.

Titled Hello World!, the limited series is divided into six episodes in which artists narrate and pay tribute to the natural world and the many animals that inhabit it. The show also features music from the likes of Christina Aguilera, Ellie Goulding, Usher, Dave Matthews, Joan Jett, and Steven Tyler.

Hello World! is associated with the World Wildlife Fund to help make it a success and is being produced by RadicalMedia.

“All of these artists bring a powerful love for wildlife and the environment, and we cannot wait to share these films with families across the world,” Rich Ross said in a statement, who serves as the group president for Discovery Channel. Terry Macko, senior vice president of communications and marketing at World Wildlife Fund, added: “As we’re faced daily with news and information about the declining state of our natural world, this series brings a hopeful message that bridges generations to inspire conservationists of any age.”

Usher’s episode will feature the song Stronger to represent the life of animals such as a red fox and a sea turtle. “Not many people may know of my strong affinity for animals and nature,” the artist stated. “Hello World! gave me an opportunity to not only look cool to my boys, but also help introduce a new and modern way of learning about the world and the animals living within it.”

Meanwhile, Aguilera’s episode will play the song Light Up the Sky and focuses on the likes of mountain goats and the cheetah. Each subsequent episode features a different theme with a fitting song as selected by the producers and artists.

The series is set to air beginning Jul. 9 with two back-to-back episodes during a three-week period.
