The fourth game of the FIDE World Chess Championship Sochi, between ‘Defending Champion’ Magnus Carlson and ‘Challenger’ Viswanathan Anand ended up in a draw.
Carlson who failed to take advantage of playing with the white blocks agreed for a draw at the 47th move of the match.
The game lasted for nearly five hours. The draw obtained by playing with the black blocks will surely increase the confidence level of the ‘Indian Think Tank’, and this will naturally create some positive impacts in the upcoming games.
After the end of 4th game, both Carlson and Anand have scored two points each, and they are literally battling to establish their Supremacy in the brain game.
There was no game on Thursday. The fifth game is being played today.
Magnus Carlson opened the game with Closed Sicilian Defense. This opening style is quite suitable for people who wish to stay silent for some time, and without any warnings, you can use your heavy blocks to do an unexpected counter attack.
Anand vs Carlsen Game 5:
The opponent will be always under fire if the Closed Sicilian Defense gaming style is adopted. But Anand with his pure versatility and expertise combated Magnus Carlson in style.
Even his pawns were placed in such a way that it can easily combat the most dreaded attack from Carlson.
The fifth game of the Championship will be quite crucial, and both Carlson and Anand will be trying for a win. The game will begin at 5.30 PM on 14th November 2014, and it will be live streamed in the official website of FIDE World Chess Championship.
