Jennifer Aniston feels more comfortable without makeup

Jennifer Aniston says she now feels comfortable without makeup after a boyfriend suggested she looks more beautiful without it. The Horrible Bosses actress is now accepting a more natural look as a result.

She shared with InStyle magazine: “Why would you want to [have Botox and] atrophy muscles anyway? If you don’t work out, eventually everything drops.

Less is more. [It’s important to] peel away those layers. I had a boyfriend who always said I looked better without makeup. It took me a while to feel comfortable enough to remove that armour, but I eventually realised he was right.”

Aniston isn’t the only one embracing her looks in a new way. Alicia Keys had started a movement promoting an all-natural look and feel, appearing without make-up in public and reportedly feeling proud.

The 47-year-old Friends actress had previously written a detailed essay exploring objectification and the general scrutiny women often endure.

The Huffington Post article read, in part: “I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of ‘journalism,’ the ‘First Amendment’ and ‘celebrity news.’

Every day my husband and I are harassed by dozens of aggressive photographers staked outside our home who will go to shocking lengths to obtain any kind of photo, even if it means endangering us or the unlucky pedestrians who happen to be nearby. But setting aside the public safety aspect, I want to focus on the bigger picture of what this insane tabloid ritual represents to all of us.

The objectification and scrutiny we put women through is absurd and disturbing.”
