Emma Bunton has expressed a desire to reunite with the rest of the Spice Girls and believes their fans deserve a 20th anniversary celebration.
40-year-old Baby Spice admitted that while there are no concrete plans, fans are entitled to celebrate their careers and is thankful for their devotion.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Our fans deserve something to celebrate 20 years of loyalty. We don’t have anything pinned down yet, but I’d love to. Some of the others are keen too. Being Baby Spice is the best, and standing on stage with my best friends next to me? There is no better feeling.”
Bunton – along with Mel C, Geri Homer, Victoria Beckham and Mel B in the original group’s lineup – still stays in touch with the girls. In fact, she had recently had a lasting phone call with Geri.
When asked whether she misses the group, Bunton added: “I’m lucky I do still see them, but I miss going out with Mel B. Victoria is the funniest person to be around. Mel C is my little breath of fresh air, and me and Geri were on the phone for an hour and a half yesterday.”
The Spice Girls have been making headlines as of late due to these potential plans. Three of the girls – Geri, Emma and Mel B – are in talks to regroup for a concert in London in 2017. Mel B had also made an interview earlier this year promotion the reunion.
Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), however, are reportedly not interested in a reunion, though these are only rumors at the moment.
