The daughter of Stephen and Kennya Baldwin idolizes her model friends, but does not think she’s at their level.
Although the 19-year-old has modeled for brands including Tommy Hilfiger and Chanel, she does not compare to her friends’ standards, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid.
Balwin recently spoke to People about Jenneer Hadid, adding: “I’m not on the same level as Gigi and Kendall. We’re not in the same place in our careers. [I do] not ever consider myself a supermodel.”
The teenager signed with Heroes IMG Models this year and admitted her schedule is very strict. It makes it difficult for her to find time to spend with friends, but she sees Jenner more frequently.
“We don’t hang out that often! [Their] schedules are so crazy. We’re all friends. We all have the same job, but we aren’t together that often, especially as a trio. I see Kendall more often than anybody, but it just so happened the three of us we’re in town at the same time,” the model stated.
She also defended her friends, who were recently talked about by Stephanie Seymore, saying they were the “bit**es of the moment” during an interview with Vanity Fair.
Balwin said: “The truth of the matter is it’s a new day and age. No one is trying to disrespect the models from that decade and era, but they are the new faces of the modeling generation along with Karlie Kloss and other big supermodels. So, unfortunately, people can say what they want but they’re still going to step on the same runways as any other big supermodel this day and age.”
