Selena Gomez had fun with James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke on Monday, a segment where he drives around with prominent Hollywood celebrities.
Corden showed interest in joining the singer’s squad, which includes close friends such as Taylor Swift. In turn, the 23-year-old asked Corden for a romantic favor.
The TV show host asked if boys were allowed in her infamous squad, to which she responded, “I don’t know. Find me a boyfriend and then we’ll talk about it!” When Corden asked if she was serious about the request, Gomez revealed she just wanted to have fun.
Along with her singing career, Gomez is well-known for her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber.
Talking about her squad, Corden then added, “I actually think the squad is a bit sexist. Because it’s all about being equals, and yet no man has been asked to join the squad. I actually find it degrading to men.”
She quickly replied, “Well, I think the industry could use a little bit of female sexism. I think we have a right to be that way. It’s a lot harder doing what I have to do.”
Much like Taylor Swift, Gomez is often followed by the paparazzi and has been romantically linked to stars such as Orlando Bloom, soccer star Neymar Jr. and Charlie Puth.
The young singer reportedly does not like to be quizzed about relationships, especially her time with Justin Bieber from 2011 to 2014. In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Gomez stated how much she hated talking about her personal life when she was trying to promote something she loves.
