Amy Schumer is happily involved with boyfriend Ben Hansich, but admits she has an effective pick-up line to impress guys when single. The comedian proudly discloses to potential date candidates she knows U2’s Bono, which reportedly leaves many men stunned.
In a recent Twitter Q&A session, Schumer was asked what her best pick-up line was. “I know Bono,” she responded.
Other questions dug into her professional life. When asked how long it took her to make the break into show business, she replied, “Any day now.” Another question asked what she got her Trainwreck co-star Colin Quinn for his birthday, to which she replied, “A restraining order.”
Bono recently suggested some comic relief while testifying to the U.S. Senate on how to address terror in the Middle East and combat the extremist group ISIS. The artist suggested the use of comedians Amy Schumer, Chris Rock, and Borat’s Sacha Cohen.
“It’s like, you speak violence, you speak their language. But you laugh at them when they are goose-stepping down the street and it takes away their power. So I am suggesting that the Senate send in Amy Schumer and Chris Rock and Sacha Baron Cohen,” Bono jokingly added.
Continuing with the interview, Schumer revealed some details about her relationship with Hansich, “We’re really psyched, we’re in love, and I’m really proud. Having a boyfriend is my biggest accomplishment this year. I did write and star in a movie – but that’s why I’m here.” He was even approved by her best friend, Jennifer Lawrence, who said he was hot.
Schumer continued, “Ben’s great. Ben is, like, hot and when I first saw him I was like ‘Ohhh’. He’s like super sweet, he does not have to be that nice cause he’s hot.”
