‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ may start shooting in Cuba following curious Instagram photo

Khloé Kardashian posted an Instagram picture on Wednesday with the caption, “Pablo was here! Cuba.” The image included Khloé, Kim, Kourtney, and friend Malika Haqq smoking Cuban cigars.

It’s been suggested the Kardashians are in Cuba to film future episodes of their hit show, Keeping up with the Kardashians. Despite the positive vibe portrayed, however, some backlash has already started for the high-profile family.

U.S. representative of Florida Ilena Ros-Lehtinen was quoted telling People magazine, “I know it’s cool for celebrities to go to Cuba, but the Cuban people don’t experience the glamorous Havana that is featured on social media. Far from photo shoots and fruity drinks, everyday Cubans experience a different, sad reality. Now, the Kardashians are parachuting into the island to tape their vapid TV show. Haven’t the Cuban people suffered enough?”

During the Kardashians’ trip to the country, Kim’s bodyguard, Steve Stanulis, was speaking out about having been fired at the Met Gala recently. Rumors suggested Stanulis was dismissed by Kanye West for speaking to Kim at the famous event.

Stanulis told Daily Mail regarding rumors of him flirting with Kim, “Even if I wanted to, I never got the opportunity because it happened so fast. The way he was situated, maybe he thought I was there longer or walking up for a different reason. Maybe it was a misunderstanding, but I didn’t have the opportunity. I had no intention on hitting on Kim Kardashian. I am happily married. I got enough problems in the world and three young kids, so that was not my intent.” Needless to say, the bodyguard was fired the next day.

TMZ reported he was a temporary bodyguard and not employed long-term for Kardashian and West.
