Enrique Iglesias Injures His Hand With A Drone During Concert

Singer Enrique Iglesias sustained an injury during one of his concerts, thanks to a drone. The “Hero” singer was performing at Plaza de Toros de Playa in Tijuana, Mexico in front of 12,000 people on May 30, 2015.

The drone that hurt Iglesias was meant to be used for capturing photos, but as it hovered over him, he grabbed it and ended up slicing his palm.

His represented was quoted saying that drones are used for getting crowd shots, and he grabbed the same to give the audience as POV shot, but something just went wrong.

A report on E! Online said that the “Addicted” star was given some treatment by the crew and was asked to stop the show, but he refused to budge.

Enrique continued to enthrall the audience with his performance for another 30 minutes, as the bleeding continued.

Later on, he was rushed to the airport, where an ambulance attended him. He was then on a plane to L.A., where a specialist is expected to see him.

The singer has his next show in Mexico City on June 3rd, 2015, and it remains to be seen if he performs with the same zeal. He also has one more concert after that, following which he is expected to head to Europe after August.

Here’s hoping that he uses his break for next two months for healing his hand, and kudos to him for performing on with an injury! Surely drones and concerts don’t go hand in hand!
