OnePlus OxygenOS now available for One smartphone

OnePlus has officially announced that their OxygenOS is now available for OnePlus One smartphones. OxygenOS is OnePlus version of Android 5.0 and the users of the One smartphone has been eagerly waiting for it. OnePlus One users can download it from the website and manually flash it on their device, OnePlus further comments that they are working on an easier way to port the software to the device, but for now this is the only solution.

OxygenOS is a software created by the OnePlus team and developers behind Paranoid Android. OnePlus One was released with CyanogenMod, and they came up with OxygenOS as a way to get rid of the CyanogenMod. With the help of a strong team and determination, they created a software which is carefully based on what the users want, better performance and battery life. OnePlus also said that they prefer having these two things  “over gimmicks and bloated features”. They also mentioned that their philosophy is keeping it light and essential. OnePlus is known for creating a smartphone which was considered as a huge threat for a lot of smartphones. One was launched with a slogan ‘flagship killer’, and it really turned out to be one because it featured a set of powerful sets with an affordable price tag. It features 2.5GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 5.5-inch JDI (IPS LCD) 1080p resolution with Gorilla Glass 3, 3GB RAM, 13MP Sony Exmor sensor (f/2.0, flash, and 4K video) with front-facing 5MP, and a 3100 mAh battery. And with these specs, its starting price is just $299 but the smartphone is only available in limited quantities. OnePlus makes the phone available for everyone only on Tuesday, other way of getting your hands on it is to get an invite from someone who already has the smartphone.
