Harrison Ford survives in a plane crash on golf course

Harrison Ford and the private pilot reported engine failure immediately after taking off from Santa Monica Airport. He requested an immediate return and turned back. However, he failed to reach the runaway and crashed on a golf course. The doctors who were on the golf course helped Ford from the wreckage.

The pilot was flying a vintage single-engine airplane, popularly known as WW2, which faced engine trouble after take off. Harrison has no option but to ask for an emergency landing. The pilot was fortunate to do crash landing safely. As of now, Harrison is in the hospital and getting medical treatment. The injuries sustained are minor and not life threatening.

After crash landing, there was no fire issue. The vintage and open cockpit place was all marked with old markings. It appeared as one the places of the movies in which he played an adventurer Indiana Jones. Ford’s son tweeted that his father is well and will recover soon. He was alert and conscious when paramedic team arrived on the spot.

The investigating officers of National Transportation Safety Board are screening the cause of the crash. Patrick Jones, an NTSB investigator, said that the plane would be shifted from the golf course to another location for further investigation. The team of FAA will also investigate the matter. The records of FAA show that the plane was manufactured in 1942 and was certified as airworthy until October 31.

The officials at the airport control were able to hear Ford’s voice all the time. He was communicating with the control tower about engine failure and asked for immediate return. He was given permission for emergency landing on runway 3.

Ford was alert and conscious, but suffered moderate trauma. He was administered an IV before taking him to the hospital. The fire officers and police officials declined to name injured pilot due to privacy laws.
