Kanye West’s sudden flurry on to the stage during Beck’s award winning moment might be backed by his own justifications.
And his act did not disappoint Beck either. But music fans and the rest of the celebrities present are not positive about his stirred up outrage and is now reprising the rap singer for his petite and silly outburst.
Speaking on the early morning show Today on NBC, Al Roker was furious over the issue and said the rapper should learn to respect the rest.
He said West should have ‘just shut up and sat down, without being egotistical and that needy’.
The matter was also not well received among the internet world, with the twitter users mocking up the rapper with various hashtags, one being #KanyeWestIsADouche.
The turmoil was similar to his stepping on to the stages back at the VMA 2009, when Taylor Swift was awarded for the Female Video award; except for that he didn’t went for the mic this time. Beck himself admitted to be overwhelmed with Kanye’s entry while being awarded with the best album for Morning Phrase. He was also seen insisting Kanye to stay on-stage.
Kanye later explained his act and slammed the Grammy for taking the award away from Beyonce. “I love Beck!
But he didn’t have the Album of the Year” said the rapper who also added that Beck must have shown artistic respect by handing the award over to Beyonce.
However, the award winner responded quite modestly and has said that he wasn’t offended by Kanye’s act.
He said that he himself was taken by surprise and thought that the award would have been for Beyonce. Beck also called Kanye a ‘genius’ and said that he aspires his works.
