LA prosecutor questions Lindsay Lohan’s community service, might seek jail time for her

Looks like Lindsay’s Lohan’s troubles are not yet over. The 28 year old was asked to complete 240 hours of community service for a 2012 case of reckless driving. The prosecutor in her probation case however does not seem to be too pleased about the ‘types’ of community service carried out by the celebrity. He accuses her of having manipulated the system and is calling for jail time.

Following complaints from Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White, the Superior Court Judge Richard Stone has prompted another court hearing, so as to allow the prosecutor to investigate whether Lindsay has completed her community service at a London volunteer organization, as stated in court documents.

The attorney raised doubts about Lindsay completing 80 hours of community service in nine days, as stated in the documents presented to the court and went on to add that he would seek jail time for her if he could prove any of the claims to be wrong.

His doubts stemmed partly because of the fact that Lindsay was unwell during the period mentioned in her court documents, but the actress’ attorney Shawn Holley explained that it was an outpatient treatment and “she powered through it.”

the attorney is said to have spent several minutes to review the documents silently, without making any comments on whether he felt that the 28-year-old actress had completed her community service sentence.

Another judge approved Lindsay doing the hours in London. “If this was ‘Lindsey Smith’, nobody would allow this,” Mr White said.

Mr. White drew attention to the star getting credit for a meet-and-greet with fans of Speed-the-Plow, the play she was featured in.

“She got to shake hands with people, and that’s community service,” Mr White said. He also complained about Lindsay receiving credit for hours in which young people were shadowing her. “I’d love to hang out with a celebrity all day and see their life, but that’s not community service.”

The star or her representatives have not been available for any comments.
