In another 38 days, the largest film awards ceremony will get underway.
Ahead of the grand event, “The Force Awakens” director J.J. Abrams, “Gravity” director Alfonso Cuarón and “Into the Woods” actor Chris Pine announced the nominees for the 87th Annual Academy Awards.
The trio was joined by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president Cheryl Boone Isaacs as they stood at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California to reveal to the world the nominees.
The Oscars will be broadcast live from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. ET.
To be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the event will be streamed live on television in more than 225 countries. While the nominees’ luncheon will be held on February 2, the final voting begins February 6, and polls close on February 17 at 5:00 p.m. PT.
