Five people were shot on early Sunday morning at a nightclub during a private birthday celebration hosted by singer Chris Brown in San Jose.
As per San Jose Police, the shooting took place at the Fiesta Nightclub at 3840 Monterey Highway. The injuries are not at all life threatening, and all the five who got shot are in stable condition.
As per official reports, more than 700 people were believed to be inside the club during the time of incident.
Nearly 150 people were there outside the club. Albert Morales, the official spokesman for San Jose Police Department confirmed that Chris Brown is not in the list of injured.
Four people who were injured were taken to the hospital by the Police, and the fifth one later walked into a hospital with a non-life threatening wound.
Police have detained several people in connection with the shooting incident. However, no arrests have been made till now. The cause and motive behind the shooting still remain unclear.
The video during the time of shooting is out. Chris Brown was seen singing when shots rang out, and within no time, he has been ushered away by others.
In the midst of these issues, Brown’s representative stated that Chris Brown is not at all connected with this incident in any manner as he is just the host of the party. He told that Brown will cooperate with the investigative team.
Earlier, in 2014, Death Row Records exec Suge Knight was shot six times during a party hosted by Chris Brown in Los Angeles.
