‘PK’ Review and Box-Office Collections Report

Super star Aamir Khan starrer Bollywood film “PK” is set to release on screens in India and world on December 19, 2014.

Starring Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput in other pivotal roles, the movie mainly rides on the shoulders of superstar Aamir Khan.

Directed by star director Rajkumar Hirani, “PK” has been produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Siddharth Roy Kapur along with Hirani himself.

The movie marks the return of Anushka Sharma onscreen after a long time since last release in early 2013 “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola”.

The screen count of “PK” is rumored to be the biggest to date with 5200 screens in India and world.

The advance bookings has been phenomenal for the movie, and the pre-release buzz with a Hirani- Aamir film is always on the top.

The 1st day collections of “PK” is expected to be around Rs. 30-35 crores. Given it’s a non-holiday release, the weekend is expected to be bigger than the first day.

Overall, the movie is expected to make Rs. 100-125 crores in the weekend. Reports suggested the TV telecast rights have also been sold on a record price, ensuring ample profit to the makers.

2014 has been a dry year for Bollywood given none of the movies in the last quarter has made enough money to be called major hit, barring “Happy New Year”, which also was made on a large scale.
